Omeed’s career up until now has provided him with a great trajectory for his new role at Molecheck.
His time at Christchurch Hospital included registrar roles in general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery and otolaryngology (ears, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck), and more recently he has worked in several Christchurch GP practices, including Doctors of Riccarton, University of Canterbury Health Centre, Riccarton Clinic and Afterhours, Promed and Upper Riccarton Medical Centre.
He says the opportunity to be able to provide early diagnosis of skin cancers and the big impact this can have on patient outcomes is what excites him about his new role.
Omeed grew up in Pleasant Point, a small rural town near Timaru on a cropping farm. When he’s not working, Omeed and his wife spend as much time as they can with their two young children enjoying the outdoors – favourite activities include splashing in paddling pools, rivers, at the beach, climbing hills and having fun in the snow.
